The annual international OpenOffice.org Conference (hereinafter referred to as “OOo Conference”) is a grand event of the top level in the international Open Source field, gathering technical elites and fundamental experts all over the world for mind and achievement sharing through forums, lectures and other interactive ways. It calls for effective use of the advancing open source technology so as to upgrade world software technology and break technology monopolization.
　　 Redflag 2000 is to apply for the 6th OOo Conference representing China's open source strength. The application has won acknowledgement and strong support from Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission, Changfeng Open Standards Platform Software Alliance as well as other open source organizations. We sincerely believe that through this conference in a vast market that boasts the largest population of users; more people would be attracted to the open source world, knowing and using it, contributing greatly to global open source development as well as facilitating the China's informationization and software industry progress. To let the world know about China and its open source is what we are after in the application.

OOo Conference is not only the concrete sharing platform of latest science and application technology, but also one that embodies large scale cooperation---a magic power that changes everything. Redflag 2000, supported by the community, has been consistently following the motto of paying back to the community of what it takes and has won great reputation and influence in the community.
