On Dec. 22nd, the 1st Open Source Camp, an informal exchange conference in an open environment, was held in Beijing. It invited nearly 200 individuals working in Internet service, open source code, computer security, mobile communications, game, IT media, Java community, Python, Unix, PHP, Linux, and other newly developed technology fields. Special guests and foreign friends in China with abundant technology know ledge and great influence also attended the activity.

The activity features three subjects: Apache, Codehaus, and Open Source. The discussion content, however, comes from each attendant, involving Java, PHP, Ruby/ Ros, Web 2.0, SNS, SOA, Mobile communications, Wiki, Game, Python, Linux, Solaris, Agile, open source code business model, open source's future influence to software and other newly developed fields.
Peter Junge, Redflag 2000's Open source Strategy Director, joined in the keynote exchange of
Open Source. He gave a detailed presentation on open source community, open source products as well as Redflag's work and plan concerning this aspect, and also exchanged ideas concerning technologies with the fans during the presentation.
Redflag 2000 has not only actively participated in international open source community, but also established a technology department of its own, serving as the facilitation to open source domestic development and international exchanges. As an active participator, Redflag 2000 wishes to win more Chinese users to open source products so as to upgrade self technology and products, providing Chinese users with more proper office software.
