¡¡¡¡From Nov. 28th to 29th, 2007, ¡°2007 Beijing Open Standards International Conference¡± was held in Beijing.
¡¡¡¡Sponsored by Beijing Software and Information Service Promotion Center, Changfeng Open Standards Platform Software Association, and Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS), and undertaken by China Representative, World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), this conference was a professional international meeting on open source industry.
¡¡¡¡More than 400 guests present at the conference from members of Association for the Advancement China Open Source Software, committee members of Expert Committee, high-level management from multinational corporations, and representatives from domestic open source enterprises, made multi-areas discussion on many international and domestic frontier topics, such as open standards, open source architecture, mutual operation, open source innovation, open source business model, application solutions etc.
¡¡¡¡Redflag 2000, as a main domestic office software provider, attended this conference. General Manager Hu Caiyong proposed his own opinion on China software enterprises¡¯ future development. He believed openness-based national standard and sticking to open source path are the core of developing domestic basic software. Only by unifying standard can we promote China software industry¡¯s progress. Only by sticking to open source path, joining in open source community, and forming the general situation of ¡°the boating going up when the river rises¡± can we promote China software industry¡¯s general progress.
