President of OASIS, Mr, Patrick Visited Redflag 2000 and Praised Its Standardization Work

  Mr, Patrick, President of OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards), visited Beijing Redflag Chinese 2000 Software Co., Ltd. (Redflag 2000) from Jun. 6th to 28th. During his visit, he held talks with General Manager Hu Caiyong and his colleagues. Mr.Hu welcomed warmly Mr. Patrick to China again one year after his last visit, and discussed with Mr. Patrick on how to cooperate with OASIS, and promote the standard¨s development in China, as well as other issues.
      
  Mr. Patrick¨s visit coincided with the anniversary of ODF becoming international standard document format. The main purpose of his visit was to discuss with OASIS¨s members in China on how to promote the work of software enterprises¨ standardization. As to this, Mr. Hu stated, as one of the first members that took part in OASIS, Redflag 2000 would support steadfastly open document formal standard, which would be the basis for breaking monopoly. At the same time, Redflag 2000 would also exert its own influence to promote the integration of international open document format standard (UOF) and domestic standard (ODF).
 Mr. Hu explained that Redflag 2000 had always been focusing on one thing, which was, developing simple and efficient domestic office software and application solution featuring Chinese characteristics. Redflag 2000¨s advantages are: its technology is based on international open source community OpenOffice.org; at the same time, it has complete and advanced after-sales service and strong technology support. Redflag 2000¨s self-developed RedOffice office software features obvious Chinese cultural characteristics, at the same time is compatible with domestic and international double document format standards.
